Alec Dyer is also a geospatial data scientist contracted with NETL, whose research has focused on using data science and machine learning techniques to assess the current and future state of offshore oil and gas infrastructure and identify geologic hazards on the seafloor. He also works on developing spatial tools that help stateholders identify risk to infrastructure in offshore regions. Alec is one of the machine learning developers on this project aimed at predicting platform lifespan and risk.
